Code of Conduct
The Tasmanian Trail Association Inc. has a Code of Conduct for insurance/safety purposes.
Users of the Tasmanian Trail: -
- Must wear appropriate and approved safety gear.
- Practice courtesy on private land regarding leaving farm gates open or closed as they are found.
- Ensure that all litter is taken away when breaking camp.
- Observe all Fire and Storm Safety warnings.
- Assist with administration by completing log books and/or progress reports and noting problems/blockages encountered.
Release/Waiver of liability
- You understand, acknowledge and comply with the above requirements of the Tasmanian Trail Association’s Code of Conduct and Safety Requirements and agree to abide by these.
- You understand and acknowledge that to ride a horse/cycle/walk in a dangerous manner may cause injury to others or yourself.
- You understand and acknowledge that horse-riding/cycling/walking can be a dangerous activity.
- You understand and acknowledge that serious injury or death may result from horse-riding/cycling/ walking on recreational trails and public thoroughfares.
- You understand and acknowledge that you Horse-ride/Cycle/Walk at our OWN RISK.
- You understand that your completion and submission of the application form constitutes a complete and unconditional release of all liability of the Tasmanian Trail Association Inc. to the greatest extent allowed by law in the event of your, and/or the children under your care, injury or death.
