The Derwent Valley leads Trail users through farming country and past historic buildings, located close to the Derwent River.
After passing behind Mount Wellington, the Trail enters the Huon Valley with its apple orchids, vineyards, craft shops and renowned mountain and river features.
Finishing in Dover, a fishing port, the Trail offers an ideal gateway to unique wilderness experiences to be found further south – Recherché Bay and the start of the South Cape Track.
